July 4th

Happy 4th of July!

 

Hope those of you in the States have a great day, celebrating the USA.

Our family’s celebrations on this day are pretty low key.  Everyone doing their own thing until the sun starts setting and DL notices that the sun is setting.  Then is getting the works setup (chairs, beverages, warm clothes as it will get a bit cool).  Next – I get to sit back and enjoy the sites.

This year we are adding family gaming time to the mix.  We enjoy an odd assortment of board and card cames; Munchkin, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan to name a few.  It will be interesting to see how this works out for us – see if we can make it an annual event (wake up, have lunch, play games, have dinner, play games, fireworks)
