Tea

Why is it that tea tastes, or even feels better, when you feel sick?

My present after the dash this weekend going to Seattle and back is the flu.  Well at least a sore throat and wonderful headache.  Loki and I had a good nap this morning (bed hog that he is).

I was bad and went to the store, needed food stuffs for dinners and lunches for the boys.  I kept the trip short.

While I was there I grabbed a large Chi and was in heaven while it was hot.  I need to find one of those cup warmer things, not the spoon version but the coaster type.  For now its keeping a kettle full and on low heat and constantly refilling my mug.

I also need to find the art of actually making my own good cuppa of Chi.  I dont have an espresso maker for the steaming of the milk and dont really want to incur the cost just for steaming milk…

Trying out a new blend, Celestial Seasonings Antioxidant Max Green Tea with Blood Orange Star Fruit.  No I did not get it for the buzz phrase “Antioxidant”.  I got it for Green Tea and Blood Orange and Star Fruit.  I like blood oranges and star fruit.  I made a good choice and it is tasty, for tea.  I count the antioxidant and 20% RDI vitamin C (which I can only think I need more of being sick and all) a bonus.

Other than my grand trip to the store, Ive been catching up on blog posts, adding more to my reader list and not much else

So on that note Im off to bed and hope what ever is bugging me, bugs off!

  1. I saw your blog post on another blog I read. TEA caught my attention as I'm a big tea drinker. Funny though, chai is not my think.

    Do feel better soon.

  2. I'm neither a chai nor a cappucino drinker, however I came across this milk frother from Lupicia Tea today and thought of you. Not sure if it's exactly what you wanted, but it's compact and fairly inexpensive.

  3. Sorry, I just went back and saw that the description is less detailed than what was in the newsletter. A better idea of what it can do is here.
