Genealogy

Boy did I really start a project!  AS reported Sat, I got the big box from my Aunt and I just couldnt let it sit there.  So Sunday afternoon I started digging and found some of the of the family tree pages Grandmother had done (and some I remember way back when).

That brought me to Ancestry.com and I got cranking!  As of today I have close to 150 people entered and Im currently able to go back 12 generations of mothers on my mom’s side with a nod to possibly 13 & 14!

Adding to this fun, Ive decided to get the Family Tree software so I can add more data, stories and pictures and share with the family.

Thank you for your wonderful comments on Midnight Watch.  I love autumn colors in this piece.

I spent this evening at A&T picking colors for PS Alphabet.  Ive completely changed how this will be stitched.  I had been thinking of doing them all on one piece – very large piece (1 yard!) but then while going through reader (at all your wonderful blogs) and idea hit me so hard, the bells and flashing lights going off in my head were almost too much.

What was it?  How will they be stitched?  Well you will just have to stay tuned and find out!

The stitching begins Friday…

  2. That is so cool being able to track some of your family back so far! And I can't wait to see what you do with your PS Alphabets. I'm stitching mine all on one piece of 28 ct. fabric.

  3. Isn't genealogy addictive? Almost as much as stitching. :) I too have been working on mine for quite a few years.

Can't wait to see your new project.
