Sad for K – she isnt getting completed tonight as Im cooking a mashed potato feast for D. Potluck lunch at his work tomorrow and he put himself (me) down for the mashed potatoes. So 5lbs and one batch down, another 5lbs for another batch to go. Hardest part seems to be peeling and dicing. Cook’s prize was the extra piece of bacon (13 in the pkg and 6 get cut up for each batch). It was tasty!
Tomorrow morning I will be putting the topping on the potatoes and baking and then taking them to his work. Dont really mind as I had the day off. The rest of the day will be spent finishing up K and shopping for frames.
Ive been working on Ink Circle’s Mother Maya on the train the past couple days (stitching beads just isnt train happy). Its on 35ct wdw linen and Im doing 1 over 2. I started with 2 over 2 but the threads were just too thick and it looked awful. I will post pics later.
I am really excited for christmas this year. We got something for P that I cannot wait for him to open. I wont speak about what it is, just in case he sees this or someone else does and talks. DL isnt really getting anything big but a lot of what he had on his list. He wanted small things – lots of books this year. I feel like Santa so much more this year than in the past. Weird but wonderful :o)
I wish my nephew's kids were older. They are only 1 and 3, so the toys for them are pretty limited. I can't wait until they are old enough for books, dolls, and trains.
