Thanks to Fark.com, I was able to pick up on the Total Lunar Eclipse that happened tonight. In fact, I brought up that it was happening while the kids were eating breakfast this morning. Both were jazzed about being able to see it. The only thing in our way... the weather. We were scheduled to have rain starting today through Sunday. Thankfully, the gods decided to give us a break and we had a cloudless sky. The beginning of the event was mostly missed (mostly because I had issues reading directions. Total eclipse was at 7:01, that’s well after the whole show started!) BUT thanks to dad for calling and telling us to get the heck outside for the show. We all watched for about 5 - 10 min then went back inside and be ready to head back out to watch the shadow move off the moon. Great fun for the whole gang.
We are now waiting for tomorrow to check NASA's site to see what pictures they took of the eclipse.
