What better way to start off a new year than to learn something new(ish)?
P and I are signed up for a free Intro to Computer Science course through EdX and Harvard, https://courses.edx.org/courses/HarvardX/CS50x/2014_T1/info
The projects are due by 12/31/2014 and there are people of all ages in the course. 12-14 is the youngest while 77 is the oldest (so far).
To be fair I signed up earlier today and while lurking through the Hello posts I saw the ages and then pestered Minion the elder to get his butt online and sign up. If anything it can be something he and his brother can play with over the summer (or any other downtime they may have). Bonus is getting an honor cert for passing the projects and finishing the course. Its not a grade but its better than nothing.
