Book 46 for the year was Red Hot Fury by Kasey MacKenzie
An interesting take on arcane people
Goodreads summary
As a Fury, Marissa Holloway belongs to an Arcane race that has avenged wrongdoing since time immemorial. As Boston's chief magical investigator for the past five years, she's doing what she was born to do: solve supernatural crimes.
But Riss's investigation into a dead sister Fury leads to her being inexplicably suspended from her job. And to uncover the truth behind this cover-up, she'll have to turn to her shape-shifting Warhound ex for help.
My comments:
I was pulled in to this book, nice for a change. But got really tired of all the nicknames that were getting tossed around (some characters had several). Made things a bit difficult on who was doing what or talking to which...
4/5
Im waiting for the next book in this series – Green Eyed Envy
I miss the days if reading 46 books in 1 year! I am lucky if I get 4 read with all of my other hobbies going.
