We had a great weekend. Nothing really planned except for me to stitch on Sat.
Saturday was the first official day for outside stitching at A&T for the summer. Had 4 long buffet tables set up by morning’s end – quite a few of us showed up to enjoy a wonderful day of stitching. Then I went to a friends house for dinner and more stitching.
Other than that Ive been working on getting as much vitamin D as my body can handle without getting burned. I have a nice light burnishing (for a gal with creamy white skin can get) and no burn :o) I was very careful and made sure I didnt stay out too late and had 45 sunscreen on – all weekend long.
Here is my weekend’s work – My friend Elizabeth is working on Nora’s Letters M and basically challenged me to see if I could finish N. I came close :o)
The faerie wings are complete and now I need to finish some back stitching on her dress, back stitching on the N, fiddly-bit back stitching and beads.
Tomorrow Tanglewood comes out again – just in time for work and Ink Circle SAL at A&T tomorrow nite
That fairy is very cute. BTW, sunscreen blocks the body's ability to create vitamin D. Better drink fortified milk!
ReplyDeleteYou came really close! Don't cha love a challenge?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful stitching time!
ReplyDeleteI have that fair, pale skin too. We took the motorcycle out Saturday morning and my arms got a slight burn...completely didn't think about sunscreen in my excitement to go! I won't make that mistake again!
What a wonderful weekend you've had. I love the N and wish that I could stitch as quickly as you.
ReplyDeletethe fairy is cute. I am thinking of doing an initial one for my sister.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it was a challenge, more just a playful poke! ;)
