Dad is doing good I was able to stay a while Friday and Sat night with him. His throat isnt healed enough from the breathing tube to talk yet but he keeps trying (and trying). Mom brought him some pics of Haiti last night.
Better news! Lisa just called to let me know the treac has been plugged and the old man can talk! We are planning on going to the hospital later today, not staying too late (school and work tomorrow). It will be great to talk with him.
As I bored him Friday by making him listen to House Hunters (well, the tv was on and I didnt think he wanted to watch cartoons and I didnt want to listen to politics - so HGTV it was!), I am making it up to him but burning some Baa Baa Black Sheep season disks for him to watch. I remember watching that series with him when I was younger. Hopefully it will entertain him a while :o)

ReplyDeleteI am glad to read that your dad is getting better. Sorry to hear about all the suffering. I read through most all you blog entries but never caught exactly what it was. My sister had an infection earlier this year and we could hav elost her if they didn't catch in in time. It was called mrsa. A really contagious skin infection. Anyway, take care. You and your family are in my prayers.
