Little Secret

Confession actually.  I watch Glee.  Well D started and Im coming into the show late.  Love the music (well most of it – dont get me started on the Rocky Horror episode, not going there).  My main issue atm is what the heck is going on in the show?  Just like normal teenagers (or at least from what I remember – so long ago…) they are flipping between each other.  Different couples every single week it seems.  Way confusing.  Could be to how we are getting the episodes or at least watching them.  Oh well.

Books

Just finished reading Dying Bites

Yes as you can guess there are vampires (not glitter ones).  Very good Urban Fantasy, no smut, great leading character, Jace Valcheck (gal not dude).

Synopsis from Goodreads

Her job description is the “tracking and apprehension of mentally-fractured killers.” What this really means in FBI profiler Jace Valchek’s brave new world—one in which only one percent of the population is human—is that a woman’s work is never done. And real is getting stranger every day…

Jace has been ripped from her reality by David Cassius, the vampire head of the NSA. He knows that she’s the best there in the business, and David needs her help in solving a series of gruesome murders of vampires and werewolves. David’s world—one that also includes lycanthropes and golems—is one with little knowledge of mental illness. An insane serial killer is a threat the NSA has no experience with. But Jace does. Stranded in a reality where Bela Lugosi is a bigger box office draw than Bruce Willis and every full moon is Mardi Gras, Jace must now hunt down a fellow human before he brings the entire planet to the brink of madness. Or she may never see her own world again…

I will read the second book in this series, Death Blows, some day.  My reading list is HUGE atm with work and stitching getting in the way of my reading :op

Photo Shoot!  I have updates :o)

Quaker Boo – Last pic I have of this is way back in early Nov but Im sure Ive worked on it since then (surely – or not)

I was able to get three motifs completed tonight.

Bunny Hop – oh like I can get a project kited and NOT start?  Ok, it is possible but oh so damn hard to resist!

Here is the bottom.  I just couldnt wait to get started on the grass and see the color changes happen.

Another One gone

Syfy just cancelled another one of my shows.  Stargate Universe is gone after this season is complete.  I guess it clears the way for more reality ghost hunter crap and wrestling.  oh joy.

Soon there wont be a reason for them to use Syfy or anything close to Sci-fi in their name cause there wont be any.

Im wishing even harder that I had access to current seasons of the sci-fi shows the BBC puts on.

I will settle for Netflix, Direct TV accsss and web for access.  The BBC version of Sherlock has good reviews and thx to PBS I will be catching up and waiting for new episodes (if they ever come out)

My headache/migraine is still around and making stitching difficult to focus on.  I was able to get a few x’s added this morning as the trains were running slow.  Thankfully I was already stuck on one (and in the warmth of the car and not waiting outside) when that announcement was sent.

I worked more on Oh Christmas Tree, adding to the tree.  Im using thread from Needle Necessities, wonderful overdyes were perfect for the green, red and yellow the chart calls for.

Thankfully I have tomorrow off – mostly.  Except for a 2hr volunteering at P’s school (science fair season), I hope to relax, get some presents wrapped and watch Sherlock.

Thanks for visiting

Lazy dayz

Today I have been totally lazy.  I did brush my teeth after dragging my butt out of bed at 8ish am, got to sleep in 3 hrs!

So far Ive been working on Witch’s Hat all day.

Nice project to play with while catching up on NCIS LA and NCIS.  Jury is still out on NCIS LA, need to find the quirkyness that makes me lol.  NCIS however, very good opening show for the season.  I almost missed the ending, got pulled away on a phone call, and D deleted the episode!  Thank gods CBS has come out of the dark ages and now lets you watch FULL episodes online.  D was very willing to tell me what happened but so not the same thing as watching it!!

I have a few other shows Ive added to our lineup to check on this year.  The new one with Christian Slater, The Forgotten – missed the pilot so will have to drag that out of the internet.  I loved My Own Worst Enemy but think it would have been better received as a film and not tv.  FlashForward sounds cool but havent watched it yet but remembered to record it.  I need to catch up on Fringe.  I like it, D doesnt so I have to find times to watch online.  And now that CBS has full episodes Im going to see if I can catch up on the Mentalist.

Now Im watching Mr Magoriumn’s Wonder Emporium (I find why they call the accountant Mutant funny), watching D play the new Batman on his 360 and still working on Witch’s Hat.  Might have that one done this week!  One more WIP down, several 10’s to go (least its not in the hundreds – yet)

Thank you for all the wonderful comments.  Helps keep me going stitchy wise – now if I could also transfer that to more posts…

Pictures!

I have pictures. Tanglewood and Celtic Autumn. Yup both :o)

Tanglewood: One branch - working on the outline of the knots and it will be complete and on to the next :P

The six top bands of Celtic Autumn are now complete. Beads and all. Now on to either the letters below or the boxes going down the left side. Decisions!

I had planned on stitching more in Autumn tonight but catching up on Fringe. Thank gods for being able to watch full episodes on computers. So far so good. X-files ish. Hope it doesnt turn into Threshold and vanish after 8 episodes with no finish.

Hope you enjoy the pictures

Back at work

Comment from D says it all "how does it feel to have to go into work today?" It's unbelievable how stretched out I still feel from traveling. Having the extra day off (yes, we get President's day as a holiday. I don’t ask why, I just run for the hills :P) did help. It was fun staying around home with the kids and Spike TV was wonderful enough to have a marathon CSI day (I love you Spike TV!).

Pillow fight anyone?

I just saw a very profound commercial.

A mob of people protesting against whatever against a riot squad. There is one man from the mob out to hit one of the riot police with.... a feather pillow made to explode over everything. Both groups ascend on each other, pillows in hand and feathers flying. Pan back to a whole city embroiled into a HUGE pillow fight.

If only eh?

Thanks Absolute Vodka!
